Some New Home Builders do Not offer 10 year limited structural home warranty as standard (for free).
Almost all New Home Builders in Houston Texas Offer 1, 2, & 10 year warranties on new homes as standard (included in price), but some don’t.
Just found out that Taylor Morrison Homes (new home builder), does NOT offer a 10 Years Limited Structural Warranty on their new homes as standard, however builder does offer it as an Option, for an Additional Amount of money. And their Sales Counselors may Not mention about this available option at the time of the contract. So you would have to ask for it, otherwise you won’t have a 10 years structural warranty on your new home.
While Buying a new home from a Builder, MAKE SURE you get 1, 2 & 10 years home warranties. If you are working with a Realtor, ASK Your Realtor and Builder’s Sales Counselor regarding their 1, 2 and 10 years home warranties. If a Builder does Not offer a 10 year limited structural warranty as standard, you have an Option to Negotiate at the time of writing an offer/contract.
We Recommend, When Buying a New Home, you Get a 10 Years Limited Structural Warranty, Even if you would have to Pay for it.
